Mother’s Day Dining

It’s that time of year again, Mother’s Day, a time to recognise and celebrate that wonderful woman in your life.

High Tea is one of the most indulgent and delicious things you can do for your mother and the high tea at Cordis is known for being a bit of a show stopper. You start by being escorted to your beautifully set table, a large queen-style chair is pulled out for you and a cloth napkin is placed on your lap.

You’re then presented with a glorious variety of TWG teas, or if you’re feeling a bit fancy, opt for a glass of bubbles. This is quickly followed by a stunning three-tiered tray with a decadent selection of savouries and sweets, each with pristine detail. But what is a high tea without scones? Enjoy a tray of freshly baked scones with all the fixins followed by another cup of tea served in their beautiful fine bone china cups.

Mum’s will be suitably impressed, and this experience is such a memorable one.

Another way to celebrate Mother’s Day at the Cordis Hotel is at the pop-up Mimosa bar at Eight restaurant. Enjoy the fun as you mix your own drinks and celebrate Mother’s Day with a sumptuous lunch or dinner for all the family. For that extra ‘wow’, each mum received a delicious, handcrafted chocolate bar.

You can find all your favourites at the eight international kitchens at Eight so make sure you leave plenty of room for your celebration! Think mouth-watering grills, succulent seafood, freshly rolled sushi, a decadent array of desserts and more. For dinner, there’s even more to tempt you. Delicious extras include speciality meats and seafood (such as wagyu, ostrich, crab), plus crispy meat roasts from the new Asian oven, pizza from the Italian kitchen and mouth-watering grills hot from the authentic American wood fired grill.
