Partridge Jewellers Opens Doors in Westfield Newmarket

Iconic New Zealandjewellery business, Partridge Jewellers, is beginning the next chapter in its 150-year
history with an elegant new boutique soon to open in WestfieldNewmarket’s highly-anticipated Home of Luxury.
Known for carryingmany of the most sought-after names in luxury watches and jewellery, including
its own Hallmarkjewellery, the new boutique, scheduled to open in December 2021, will mark anew
era for thebusiness, sitting alongside a raft of the world’s most recognised names inluxury retail.
The new boutiquewill offer a new and improved retail experience for shoppers thanks to a space
that is triple thesize (250sqm) of its existing Newmarket store. The considered design will caterto
the varied needs ofthe Partridge customer through dedicated watch and jewellery areas, and ultra
hospitablesurrounds where visitors are invited to browse items and discuss their needs inprivacy
and comfort.
Grant Partridge,fifth generation owner and member of the family behind the name, says of thenew
opening, "At Partridge Jewellers, we have always been proud of the company we've kept and our new
boutique opening later this year in the luxury level of Westfield Newmarket will be no different. As the only
New Zealand-owned brand sitting within this area of the Westfield development, we can't wait to deliver a
stunning lineup of watches and jewellery amongst some of the world's most renowned names in luxury retail."
The new boutiquehas been conceived by leading interior design firm, Izzard Design, which has
recently completedfitouts of Partridge Jewellers’ Queen Street & Lambton Quay stores. Itsdesign
sits between thecontemporary and the traditional, reflecting the idea of modern luxury in the
materiality andambience of the space; a rich palette of natural veined marble, velvets andaged
brass creates anindulgent backdrop to the jewellery.
Senior DesignerHannah Davies comments, “We wanted to invite people into a space that had a
sense ofhospitality, slow down the pace of retail, you can sit at the bar and reallyenjoy the
experience of buying a beautiful piece ofjewellery or a watch.”
The expansive newspace will create an opportunity to introduce many new brands to its Newmarket
offering includingDeBeers Forevermark, Omega, Cartier, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, IWC, Breitling
and Chopard, whichwill join the likes of Grand Seiko, Tudor, Longines, Tag Heuer, and popularItalian
jewellery marquesFope & Roberto Coin. Coveted Swiss brand Piaget will also be making a New Zealand
debut within the space. Partridge Jewellers’ Broadway store will subsequently closeits doors in early 2022.
