Interview with Lisa Pile, Regent Seven Seas Cruises VP Sales & General Manager Asia Pacific

What distinguishes Regent Cruises from other luxury cruise lines in terms of guest experience and service standards?

Luxury design, space and all-inclusive nature is what sets Regent Seven Seas Cruises apart from other ships outside of our award-winning fleet. Discerning travelers appreciate the benefits of booking luxury accommodation aboard our six intimate ships and enjoy true all-inclusive luxury from the moment they step on board. We are the only cruise line to include unlimited shore excursions in every port of call we visit providing incredible value and destination-immersion opportunities.

Our fares also include gourmet cuisine in a range of speciality restaurants and al-fresco dining venues, fine wines and spirits and a minibar which is replenished daily, entertainment and enrichment programs, unlimited WiFi, unlimited valet laundry service, pre-paid gratuities, a one-night pre-cruise hotel package for guests staying in Concierge-level suites and higher, and your very own personal butler for Penthouse suites and above.

Regent delivers unparalleled service in luxury cruising thanks to an all-balcony, all-suite fleet of ships, immersive onboard experiences, unique shore excursions, and the most exquisite dining experiences courtesy of our Epicurean Perfection programming. We also have an enviable crew-to-guest ratio of 1:1:4, ensuring the pinnacle of professional and personalised service - for the guests it feels like they never want to leave.

How does Regent Cruises incorporate sustainability practices into its operations, and what future initiatives are planned to further enhance your environmental stewardship?

Our parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, is committed to driving a positive impact on society and the environment through our global sustainability program, Sail & Sustain, which is centered around our commitment to drive a positive impact on society and the environment while delivering on our vision to be the holiday of choice for everyone around the world.

Regent strives to lead by example and continues to be an effective steward of protecting our oceans. A great example of this was in 2019, when we transitioned from traditional bottled water onboard our ships to premium Vero Still and Sparkling water, eliminating approximately two million plastic water bottles annually across the Regent fleet. To contribute to the company's commitment in its pursuit of net-zero, our two new ship designs have been considered with the integration of sustainability top of mind, with each aspect carefully crafted to improve efficiency, while retaining the unrivalled Regent experience for guests.

We look forward to welcoming the new 850-guest ships to the fleet in 2026 and 2029. Details regarding the ships' amenities, staterooms, dining, recreational, efficiency, sustainability and other features will be announced in the coming months. For more information on this look here.

Can you share any upcoming destinations or new onboard experiences that guests can look forward to in the next few seasons?

In an industry first, we recently launched an exclusive new collection of seven Immersive Overnights sailings, setting sail in 2024 and 2025. These itineraries visit some of the world's greatest cities in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Asia, with overnight stays in every port of call. With 12 new land programs creates for these voyages, guests can enjoy the added benefit of even more destination-immersion pre or post cruise. For example, our three night pre cruise included land program, on our Blossoms, Towers & Temples 14 night Tokyo round trip, departing 5 March 2025, showcases the highlights of Tokyo and Hanone, including a traditional Japanese multi-course dinner and cruise at Lake Ashi with views of Mt. Fuji.

We also added a total of 50 new shore excursions to the collection of itineraries, allowing luxury travelers to see another side of fascinating destinations with special evening shoreside experiences and in-port stays exclusively crafted to make each overnight call a memorable part of the journey. Explore world-class art from the likes of Picasso, Rodin and Munch in the home of a Swedish prince; sunset wine-tasting at a Tuscan villa; or a Michelin star dinner in magical Athens.
