The internet is full of wonderful and weird information – and we’ve found the top five strangest, but successful, hair hacks using grocery items you’ll find in your kitchen!

1. Egg Hair Mask

Eggs are known for their ability to replenish hair and restore softness and shine. To create a egg hair mask, simply crack a few egg whites into a bowl, apply to damp here and comb through.

 2. Mayonnaise Conditioner

Ok this sounds to good (gross) to be true? Mayonnaise is apparently a fantastic substitute for deep conditioner. Massage a generous amount on your damp hair, focusing on the ends, and let soak in for 20 minutes. The result? Super glossy locks.

 3. Lemon Juice Highlights

This one’s an oldie but a goodie. Applying lemon juice to your hair is an easy way to highlight your hair. Just apply, comb through and head out into the sun for 45 minutes to bake.

4. Tomato Juice

for a Blonde Fixer-UpperDoesn’t quite make sense, right? But assure us, it works a treat. If you have blonde and spend maybe a bit too much time in the pool or ocean, your hair can have a green tinge. To rid, simply soak your hair in tomato juice! This neutralises the green and gives your blonde locks a boost.

5. Coca-Cola Creates Extra Volume & Texture

Simply pour the fizzy pop over your hair, wrap a towel around and let your hair dry. The result? Voluminous supermodel hair! How lush.
